Welcome to Steps along the Path

There are many different aspects of my life, starting with God, work, and home. Additionally, there's Girlguiding, band, and music. More recently, retirement, potential health concerns, and staying busy have become important.

Why now?

I'm writing this to share some of my memories and I'm still adding to it. There are some suggestions on-line that it could evolve into a 'Treasure Book' for the family. Containing not just my writings but from any family member who might feel so inclined. I would not be averse to that idea.

I've written elsewhere about my admiration at Dad's work using the 'Ancestry' software and 'Family Tree Maker', but this can only go so far. Tracing the ancestors has to have an end point, whereas capturing the memories and recollections of our family has, I hesitate to use the word 'infinite', but 'time-centred' feel about it.
